Recipe
1.
all-purpose flour / plain flour 0.75 oz (20 g) • ground walnuts 7 oz (200 g) • powdered sugar 7 oz (200 g) • chicken egg 1 pc
Put flour into a bowl, add nuts, sugar and eggs.
2.
Knead the dough....
3.
... and let it rest in the cold for 30 minutes.
4.
Roll the dough on a with sugar sprinkled board to a thickness of about 5 mm. Cut into smaller cubes (3,5x3,5 cm).
5.
Put the cubes with a sharp knife on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
6.
egg white 1 pc • powdered sugar 5.25 oz (150 g)
Whip the egg whites until stiff and mix in the sugar.
7.
Put small amount of whipped egg whites on the cubes, which easily run into it.
8.
Bake for 20 minutes at 160 °C.
9.
Take the cooled ones out of the baking sheet and store them in a closable tin. You can add a piece of apple, if you want the cubes to be soft. Alternatively, you can store them together with other Christmas cakes, from which they absorb moisture.
Bon appetit!
