Irish potato bread
Recipe for traditional thick potato pancakes baked in the oven. It is suitable as a side dish to the main course or also as a snack. If you like it greasier, you can fry it in a frying pan with butter instead of baking it in the oven.

1. Cooking potatoes
Brush potatoes, cut into a smaller cubes and put into the salty water to cook. Cook until soft approx. 15-20 minutes.

After cooking, pour off the water from the pot. Add butter, salt, flour and mash.

Spread the mashed potatoes on a greased baking sheet or baking paper, thick about half a centimetre.

Bake until golden brown at 735°F (390°C)F (390°F (200°C)) for about 40 minutes.

After cooling, serve sliced according to your idea as a side dish to the main course, or as a snack.
