Recipe

water 1.7 cup (400 ml) • sugar cane 1.5 oz (40 g) • salt 1 tsp • vinegar 4 tbsp
Bring the water with sugar and salt to a boil. Remove from the heat, add vinegar (it can also be rice vinegar, apple v. is unsuitable - in combination with turmeric it will be bitter) and let it cool.
