Bon Batatas von Forno Sweet Potatoes with Meat

After cooling, peel potatoes and carrot.

sunflower oil 3.25 tbsp (50 ml) • salt 0.5 tsp • ground caraway 0.25 tsp
Cut potatoes into 5 mm slices and place on greased tray. Cut carrot into slices and place over the potatoes. Salt and slightly season with ground caraway.

sunflower oil 2 tbsp • onion 10.5 oz (300 g) • minced pork meat 1.8 lb (800 g) • ground white pepper 125 tsp • mace 0.5 tsp • salt
Fry finely chopped onion on oil until golden. Add minced meat, white pepper, mace and salt. Cook until soft approximately for 20 minutes.

unsalted butter 1.75 oz (50 g) • flour medium 2 tbsp • semi skimmed milk 1,5% 2.1 cup (500 ml)
In a small saucepan melt a knob of butter and sprinkle with teaspoon of plain flour. Blend it and stirring permanently gradually add in a milk. After thickening let it cool.

Place layer of meat mass over the layer of potato and carrot and then layer of bechamel. Place slices of mozarella on the top.

Bake in preheated oven at 430°F (220°C) approximately for 20 minutes.
